Service runs deep in my family and is part of the very fabric of who I am. My grandmother’s strength and courage stand out as an incredible example; she became a nurse and served in World War II, traveling to Japan to care for those in need. In a time when opportunities for women were more limited, she stepped forward with compassion and resilience, dedicating herself to healing and service in the midst of war. Her story is one of quiet bravery, and I often reflect on how her sacrifice shaped the generations that followed.
My grandfather, another remarkable figure, served in the 10th Mountain Division, a unit known for its skill, endurance, and sheer determination.

His experiences, like those of so many in his position, are a testament to the grit and perseverance required to face the unknown. Alongside him, my father, my stepdad, my cousin, and many others in my family have answered the call to serve.
Each of them has played a role in upholding the values of duty, honor, and sacrifice. Their commitment inspires me daily, and I’ve always sought a way to honor not just them, but all who have served. This pattern is an incredibly small way I can show some gratitude, remembrance, and respect, offering a tribute to those who have given so much.
If you are interested in this pattern it is now available in all shops.
All the love to you and those in your life that have served or are currently serving.
THANK YOU!
